Turkey is the place where one can visit the Black sea and almost have the entire beach to themselves when they go to Amasra which is the port town there. For those that like mountain climbing, Nemrut’s peak offers a spectacular panoramic view of the South Eastern part of Anatolia. Nemrut’s peak is also a temple as well as a mausoleum to the king.
For those that love mountain climbing, Mount Ararat too is a place to visit. This is on the border between Turkey as well as Armenia and for Jews, Christians as well as Muslims, this holds a special place in their heart as it is said that Noah’s ark came to rest on Mount Ararat. It is said that hardy explorers even claim to find the wooden shell of the Ark on the mountain.
